Hello, I am Mrs Wardle. I currently lead the Food department here at Greenfield Community College.
The Food room is normally a very busy environment where we learn about the nutrition of food, how to be safe and hygienic in a kitchen environment, understand where our food comes from, adapt dishes for special diets and much more. Practical lessons are the most fun; we will get on well if you can clean up well after yourself and wash the dishes!
You will be able to see some of the fantastic dishes our GCSE students have made over the last few years for their Coursework. We also have ran fun competitions in the past (with great prizes) through Livin, the Greenfield house system, Futurechef competitions and Make it with Mince challenges hosted by James Martin.
